||Hatha Communication is seeking a Communications Assistant that will be responsible for a variety of client work and business development tasks, including but not limited to social media management, media tracking, development of press releases as well as blog and newsletter pieces, event staffing, prospect list development, proposal development and sales. An ideal candidate will possess a passion for the civic realm and a desire to make a positive impact. The candidate should be an energetic, articulate networker and self-starter with the ability to multi-task. This position requires working with minimal supervision without a set schedule. To be successful, the candidate must have the self-confidence to seek out direction and ask lots of questions. Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as an ability to think creatively and critically are an absolute must. Candidate should thrive in a high-paced environment that requires and unfaltering adherence to deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, a comfort with social media platforms and an ability and willingness to learn new software applications is expected. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism or Marketing required. Some experience in the public relations field preferred. This is a contract position. 5 to 20 hours per week to start with a potential for growth.
